When my mother passed on my son told me, “you need to go paint.” So I did this, in her medium of watercolor. Contemplatively doing this painting helped me work through that difficult time. I use this painting as an example of abstract expressionism in my workshops– where the inner thoughts and feelings are the subjects of the piece.
